Octopus Rocks

How to dive this site: Octopus Rocks is a great second dive after diving at least one of the other nearby kayak dives like Northwest Island or Coffin Rocks. You must be mindful of the current there as a flood current going into Deception Pass can suck you into it. The site is just below the rocks on the southwest point of the entrance to Bowman Bay. A small cove is just to the south of land. You can land your kayak here and dive from the shore. Swim along the bottom of the rocks to a depth of 40'.

Directions to the site: Launch your kayak from Bowman Bay boat launch on Fidalgo Island and paddle out to the southwest point in the entrance to the bay. A painted "anchor" marks the spot.
